Respite

Make the night count.

Respite takes over the night: sleeping rushes time visibly past while furnaces smelt and crops grow, a hearty supper heals you overnight, and phantoms trade their insomnia grudge for a territory — the high peaks and the new moon.

Respite is out now for Minecraft 1.21.1 on Fabric. Download it from Modrinth, CurseForge, or GitHub Releases.

The Night, Overhauled

Seven systems that turn sleep from a skip button into part of the game. Full feature list →

Continuous Time-Lapse

Sleeping accelerates time instead of jumping to morning — furnaces smelt, crops grow, and the stars streak by while you rest.

Restful Saturation

Go to bed on a full stomach and saturation converts to healing overnight — every 2 saturation restores a heart by dawn.

Phantoms of the Heights

Insomnia is gone. Phantoms patrol above Y=100 on any night, and everywhere under a new moon — one night in eight.

Weariness

Three days without rest slows your natural healing by 25% until you sleep. No monsters are ever sent after you.

The Chronometer

A copper-and-redstone timepiece emitting signal 1–15 by time of day — doors that bolt at dusk, lamps at nightfall.

The Caffeinated Brew

A campfire-steeped cocoa drink that clears Weariness and grants 90 seconds of Haste — all-nighters, done deliberately.

The Bedroll

A one-tile camp bed of string over wool — unroll it anywhere, sleep the night, and it rolls back into your pack at dawn. It never sets your spawn and heals at half a real bed's rate.

Fair by Construction

On a server, every sleeper adds an equal share of the acceleration — two of four players in bed run the night at half the maximum. Nobody's sleep is wasted, and nobody's insomnia holds the whole server's night hostage.

Part of Concord — a modular collection of system overhauls. Install any, combine all; Respite is complete on its own.
